I can connect thru my router to the internet without any problems, and I can also print to either of the 2 network printers on my home network.
But I cannot connect to the workgroup and cannot do backups to my NAS, or transfer files or even "see" my laptop on the same workgroup. The network taskbar icon sez "Not Connected" and when I run the "Diagonose why windows can't find any networks" the response comes back as "This computer does not have a wireless adapter installed and configured" It's true, I don't have a wireless adapter, but connect via a wired connection. I'm running a Linksys WRTn router.
I've tried removing the router and running only on my Linksys switch - no change. I have installed a Linksys network card and disabled the motherboard adapters, no change. I'm at a loss - can anyone help? Do you need more info? Do I need to fuss with netsh?
